"Staff encourage children to believe in themselves and help them embrace new friendships and adventures."
Our Teachers and Staff
Maplewood's number one priority is the safety and supervision of each child. Our caring and highly skilled counselors, specialists and teachers make certain that each child feels supported and included.
Our unparalleled child-to-counselor (teacher) ratio of better than 5:1 in the summer and 7:1 during the school year far exceeds licensing requirements and assures personalized attention every day. By maintaining ongoing communication with parents, our staff ensures that parents stay connected to their camper's experience.
A child who attends Maplewood will be placed with and be cared for by nurturing, energetic individuals.
Our staff of licensed counselors and teachers is among the most knowledgeable in the area, with some staff members having 20 or more years of dedicated service to Maplewood and its children.
Staff encourages campers to believe in themselves and help them to embrace new friendships and adventures. Through group bonding and activities they foster an inclusive, caring community.
We consider it a big compliment that many of our staff return year after year. In fact, many of our current staff members were once Maplewood day campers!
