CURRENTLY HIRING FOR:
SENIOR COUNSELOR – Responsible for leading groups of children through their daily activities as well as supervising other staff members. This position is ideal for those with a teaching degree or students graduating with an education degree. Applicant must possess the following qualities: patience, fairness, playfulness, willingness to participate, compassion, and great listening skills.
JUNIOR COUNSELOR – Responsible for interacting with and supervising campers. Assist with the running of their daily activities. Seeking positive role models who will bring strong leadership and communication skills to this position.
SR. CIT- Be a part of our training/mentorship program that will give you the skills needed to be a counselor in future years. Strengthen your leadership and communication skills and grow your self-esteem and confidence. Flexible schedule. Applicants must be entering 10th grade in the fall of 2023.
SWIM INSTRUCTOR/LIFEGUARD/BOATING LIFEGUARD – Responsibilities include teaching swim lessons and guarding the pool or pond. We are looking for responsible, enthusiastic individuals. Applicants must have lifeguard, CPR, and first aid certifications. If you are not certified or need
re-certification, Maplewood will reimburse the cost of the course.
MEDIA COORDINATOR – This individual will be responsible for capturing the camper’s day in photos and videos. We will share these with our camp parents daily so that they can get a glimpse of their child’s amazing camp experience. Individuals must be self-motivated; energetic, outgoing, and have great organizational skills. There will be a lot of interaction with staff and campers.
FRONT OFFICE ASSISTANT – Seeking high energy, enthusiastic individual with great customer service and multi-tasking skills. Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment. Responsibilities include interacting with camp parents; answering phones; monitoring camper daily attendance; daily/weekly special projects; working on special events. Attention to detail and great organizational skills are a must.
DRAMA /MUSIC SPECIALIST – Applicant must have experience teaching and running theater games and activities geared to help children gain confidence. Also required is a working knowledge of creative games and improvisational theater techniques. Also needed is experience working within a program that encourages the enjoyment of song, rhythms, and sound. The ability to play an instrument such as a guitar or keyboard is a plus but not required.
Martial Arts Instructor – Searching for a certified instructor who can create safe, fun, and engaging sessions that will encourage a deep respect for oneself and others and develop campers’ confidence in their abilities. Applicant should have prior experience teaching students of varying ages and fitness levels.
