Roundup is a Maplewood tradition where we meet at the basketball court for morning announcements and to sing and dance together.

GaGa Ball

Never heard of Gaga ball? Fear not! Campers are addicted to this unusual game fun for campers of all ages.

10–10:30

Swimming Lessons (daily)

Our waterfront staff works hard throughout the summer to help campers adjust to the water, learn to float, and learn basic swim strokes. Nothing beats taking a ride down “Hoppin Hal’s tongue-slide,” into our Olympic sized heated pool.

10:30–11

Change

Campers change out of their swim clothes and into dry ones.

11–11:30

Drama

Lights, Camera, Action! Campers dress up and perform for each other every day in drama!

11:30-12

Martial Arts

Teaches basic self-defense techniques while emphasizing discipline, respect, and physical fitness through fun, age-appropriate activities, helping campers develop coordination, balance, focus, and self-confidence all within a supportive and safe environment. Classes typically include stations working on punches and kicks, basic blocking skills, and fun games to keep everyone engaged.

12–12:30

Lunch

After a morning of running and playing, campers meet at the pavilion, Maplewood’s outdoor picnic area, and enjoy lunch with their group while relaxing in the crisp fresh air.  Lunch options include bringing lunch from home where we refrigerate upon arrival, or preordering food delivered to Maplewood from My Hot Lunchbox.  In the afternoon, campers gather under the pavilion for ice cream and to spend time with their camp friends.

12:30–1:00

Boating

Our 5-acre lake is the perfect setting for boating & fishing! Campers will row around our beautiful lake in kayaks, aqua-cycles, bumper boats, paddle boats, canoes, pontoon boat, and row boats. 

1–1:30

Rock'N'Ropes - Climb Adventure

Our Rock Climbing Wall & Ropes Course offers campers the opportunity to step outside of their safe-zone. Campers and students challenge themselves throughout the year in a supportive and safe environment, participating in the flying squirrel, slingshot, and space station.

1:30–2:15

Club Day

(Camper’s Choice) provides campers entering first grade and above multiple opportunities to shape their own camp experience.  With over 40 activities to choose from campers will always find an activity that will excite and challenge them.

2:15–3:00

Free Swim

Afternoon free swim is a wonderful opportunity for campers to play in the pool with their friends, go on the diving board and slide, and practice and reinforce what they learned during their instructional swim.

3:00–4:00

Ice Cream Dismissal

Each afternoon, our campers get an ice cream treat, from cones to sandwiches to bars, all made in a nut-free facility. We also always offer a lactose-free, gluten-free ice cream option.  Our ice cream has no high fructose corn syrup or artificial food coloring.

Carnival

Carnival brings the camp to life with music and laughter! Staff and campers join forces for a fun-filled event featuring interactive games, face painting, cotton candy, and lots of enjoyment!

Gold Rush

Gold Rush! Games & Gold! Enjoy thrilling games, discover shimmering gold, and immerse yourself in the spirited world of cowboys and endless fun!

Penny Dive

Penny Dive. Dancing on the pool deck combined with the search for pennies that get thrown in the Pool. Some of the lucky ones find a giant one! And penny dive would not be complete without a visit to the penny candy store.

Scavenger Hunt

Scavenger Hunt is filled with teamwork, riddles, clues, and giggles! Campers and staff all get into the action in search of Lee's hat.

Tie-Dye Day

Campers and staff gets into the action for our annual Summer Camp Tie Dye activity. At the end of the week everyone wears their creation and the camp is filled with a sea of colors.
