Since 1965 over 30,000 children have learned to swim at Maplewood. Our owners are on-site, sharing their over 60 years of combined experience teaching swimming and giving parents peace of mind. In our two heated pools, we place a special emphasis on individual instruction and positive reinforcement.
Highly trained and experienced Certified Water Safety Instructors and Lifeguards, who have worked at Maplewood for 5, 10, and even 15 years, guide our campers to success in swimming. Many of our instructors learned to swim at Maplewood as campers!

Olympic-sized heated pools.
Maplewood's unique teaching approach encourages beginning swimmers to feel comfortable and relaxed in the water to make learning fun. More advanced swimmers learn to master different strokes, diving, and endurance.
Campers swim twice a day, a 30 minutes lesson each morning (beginners get 1:1 attention), and an hour of free-swim time each afternoon. Daily progress evaluations determine their rate of advancement and accomplishment.
We place a special emphasis on individual instruction and positive reinforcement.
Our 2 Olympic-sized heated pools were specifically designed for teaching, with shallow areas where beginning swimmers can stand and feel comfortable, and deeper water and diving areas for more advanced swimmers. Pools also feature diving boards as well as an exciting double-tube slide and frog slide. With the warm, toasty water, the campers never want to come out.
Our 5-acre lake is the perfect setting for boating & fishing! You never know who may pop up out of the water. It may be a visit from "BIG MAMA" our resident turtle!!!
Campers will row around our beautiful lake in Kayaks, Aqua-Cycles, Bumper Boats, Paddle Boats, Canoes, and Row Boats.
