Children's Classes:
Grades K-8th

Our highest priority is the health and well-being of our Maplewood community.  We believe that a healthy environment is ultimately a secure environment, one in which children and staff are able to thrive.  At all times, we will seek to align our measures with guidance from the CDC, MDPH, EEC, and Governor Baker’s office.  As best practice recommendations and timelines are released, we are making informed decisions about the school year and communicating with our families about what to expect.

An exciting array of classes, with lots of options for children to pursue their special interests in greater depth. Now kids can focus their energy and develop their skills progressively, building on what they have learned from week-to-week.

Required Documentation

All School-Age Children participating in classes are required to have a
2019-2020 Maplewood Packet completed and on file at Maplewood. 

You can mail it beforehand to Maplewood, or you can bring it with you on your child's first scheduled class.

Gymnastics:

Enjoy this skill-based Gymnastics class! Debbie will help you to develop your skills in an obstacle course setting, using the uneven bars, floor, rings, and vaulting mats in an obstacle course setting. A fast-paced class featuring hip, fun music - a favorite at Maplewood!

Learning a new skill

Get Glued / Art - Mondays

Experiment with this fun versatile art medium. In addition to making slime, we will also use glue to create our own window clings, 3-D drawings, and more!

Multimedia / Art -Tuesdays

If you're always wanting to try something new then this is the class for you! Each week we'll explore a new medium. From weaving to painting to decoupage, printing and more!

Arts & Crafts - Thursdays

Put your creative energies to work with our Art Specialists. Enjoy creating your own masterpieces as you work with various art media, including drawing, painting, molding, shaping, and building. 

Crafty Art - Fridays

Miss Christine always has something fun and crafty for her art students to make.  Share your treasures with family and friends.
